why unix is better than windows?

netbook with windows boot time = 2 mins
same netbook with crunchbang linux (i know its not unix, but for the purpose of this example its the same……) boot time = 34 seconds.
no brainer for me. oh, and its not lining the already well lined pockets of microsoft, oh and its secure, oh and its stable, oh and its (pretty) easy to use, oh and its fast.
